Both Rugged Computing & Desktop Virtualization Were Popular Topics
The trade show portion of TechNet Augusta finishes up today! The event gave hundreds of U.S. Army and other services personnel the opportunity to explore NCS solutions involving rugged computing and desktop virtualization (VDI). At the NCS booth, Getac rugged computing solutions were very popular - Getac rugged notebooks, servers, tablets and wearables. NCS is the largest reseller of Getac rugged solutions. Really drawing attention at TechNet was the new Getac MX50 battle ready, fully secure wearable tablet. The MX50 was designed for tactical operations and true field computing and is the first wearable by Getac that is targeted specifically for defense sector requirements. With a sunlight readable 5.7" display, Intel Atom X5 processor, and compact, chest-mounted design, MX50 has ideal size, weight and power.
Also getting attention was the Getac V110 fully rugged convertible, the S410 semi rugged notebook and the F110 fully rugged tablet.
For those looking into desktop virtualization, the NCS booth was a "must" visit. NCS offers the most innovative portfolio of desktop virtualization solutions in the industry. The NCS portfolio includes two laptops and a family of desktops - all delivering superior security, manageability, ease of use, mobility, and low cost of ownership.
