Cirrus DT WiFi & Strong Security Are Areas of Interest
The Chicago area VMware User Group Expo is today at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare, 8535 West Higgins Road. At this VMware and virtualization event, NCS focuses on the benefits of desktop virtualization. If you are in the area and are interesting in virtualizing your workspace, Matt Cooke from NCS is on hand at the booth.
Matt reports that IT administrators attending this event are strong interested in desktop security strategies and are particularly intrigued with the NCS Cirrus DT WiFi portable desktop device.
There are also many discussions being held about the security benefits of PCoIP-enabled zero clients. Matt is talking in-depth about how to improve manageability, reduce cost of ownership and improve security through PCoIP-enabled desktop virtualization.
NCS solutions use PCoIP as the remote display protocol. PCoIP transfers the image of software running on a central server or workstation to any PCoIP-ready end-point. PCoIP compresses, encrypts and rapidly transports image pixels to end-user devices. They in turn decrypt, decompress and display the image on a screen. From a user’s perspective, there is no difference between working with a local computer loaded with software and a zero client receiving the image of the software running via PCoIP.
Users always experience a high performance, fully-functional computing experience. VMware is our virtualization platform of choice. This platform improves the availability, performance and utilization of IT resources.
For efficiency and value in managing its virtualized endpoints, NCS recommends its customers use the Teradici All Access Plan.
