NCS VDI Solutions at Booth #759

NCS Technologies is demonstrating our complete VDI portfolio at VMworld 2016 through tomorrow. Visitors are learning that NCS virtualization solutions reduce complexity, improve manageability and reduce costs.

NCS is showcasing our complete zero client end point portfolio.

Laptops: NCS offers the Cirrus LT with a 14-inch screen and Cirrus LT Plus, offering a generous 15.6-inch HD display. Visitors are excited to learn about the full keyboard and optional 4G broadband!

Desktops: NCS zero client desktops support two and up to four displays. Very popular at VMworld is the new Cirrus DT WiFi, which is ideal for portable use or placement in those hard-to-serve areas. Cirrus DT WiFi is in very strong demand in healthcare scenarios.

Zero Clients Are Better at the End Point

NCS zero clients are managed by VMware Horizon software and use the ultra-secure Teradici PCoIP remote display protocol.  PCoIP transfers the image of software running on a central server to the virtualized end point. At that end point, there is no persistent data, no patching or updates and no antivirus software needed. At VMworld, IT people love it when we explain how PCoIP optimizes network efficiency to deliver a superior end-user experience, even on multiple displays. You simply can't get the PCoIP experience if you go "thin client".

NCS Shows Superior Virtualization at VMworld 2016

Posted by John Callahan on Aug 30, 2016 2:26:53 PM

Complete VDI Solutions at Booth #759

The NCS Technologies booth at VMworld 2016 in Las Vegas is extremely busy this week as IT administrators stop by to learn more about our complete VDI portfolio. They love the message that NCS virtualization solutions reduce complexity, improve manageability and reduce costs.

Looking at virtualizing the desktop, most IT administrators are very familiar with implementing a thin client strategy. About half the visitors are not super familiar with adding "zero clients" to that mix. Contributing to the confusion, many analysts and vendors use "thin client" and "zero client" interchangeably.

Thin and zero clients refer to virtualized PCs that are lightweight and typically purpose-built with no hard drive, memory, etc. and all applications and sensitive data reside back in the data center.

Zero Clients Are Better at the End Point

NCS zero clients are managed by VMware Horizon software and use the ultra-secure Teradici PCoIP remote display protocol.  PCoIP transfers the image of software running on a central server to the virtualized end point.
