One of the first questions customers ask me about when deploying VDI is what are the ports that need to be opened to access a Horizon View environment. It's here that I usually rattle off the ports like TCP/UDP 4172, 443, and 3389. I explain to my customers that if they want to avoid a black screen when trying to connect to a VDI session, these ports at a minimum need to be opened.
However, if you are looking for a more detailed document, VMware's Horizon View 6.0 document will fully detail for you all of the required ports beyond just Horizon View.
