From Data Center to End Points

For many years NCS Technologies has been one of the leading sellers of rugged solutions to civilian agencies and the military.

NCS is a notable manufacturer or rugged servers, including its "Bunker Class" NexServ RS110 1U rack mount server, and its NexSer RS210 2U. Both deliver high performance for the broadest range of applications and configurations, and are engineered to fit perfectly in tight spaces and operate in harsh conditions (aboard ships and in tactical situations on land). In the notebook and tablet space, NCS resells a wide range of solutions from Getac. The portfolio includes a fully rugged convertible, rugged notebooks, a fully rugged server, fully rugged tablets, a wearable tablet and a healthcare tablet.

TechNet Asia-Pacific Focuses on Rugged Solutions

Posted by Katie Callahan on Nov 1, 2017 2:18:53 PM

Stop By NCS and Getac at Table #1

TechNet Asia-Pacific is the largest trade show and event in the Pacific Rim focused on regional defense issues.  Held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki, the show is co-sponsored by AFCEA International and AFCEA Hawaii. NCS is partnering with Getac at TechNet to promote all aspects of rugged computing for the military. NCS has traditionally been one of the largest resellers of Getac products in the world and is the recognized rugged expert for military applications.

At the booth NCS is also promoting its extensive portfolio of desktop virtualization solutions. As you might expect, on the Opening Day much of the activity was focused on the NCS-Getac rugged solutions. For instance, there was strong interest in the new MX50 battle ready, fully secure, wearable tablet. The MX50 is designed for tactical operations and true field computing.

With a sunlight readable 5.7 inch display, Intel Atom X5 processor, and compact, chest-mounted design, the MX50 has the ideal size, weight and power for rugged yet mobile military applications. It is compact and lightweight, weighing in at less than one pound, and its size and weight deliver unrestricted movement and versatility.

Other rugged products being showcased include the Getac V110 fully rugged convertible, the S410 semi rugged notebook and the F110 fully rugged tablet.

The V110 drew a lot of attention this morning as a compact and lightweight fully rugged convertible that quickly transforms from an 11.6 inch display notebook to a tablet computer.

The S410 semi rugged notebook is a crowd pleaser because it delivers landmark performance, security, customization and durability in a thin form factor. It is available with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, impressive security tools and multi-factor authentication and customization features to fit any workflow.

While dependable rugged solutions kept traffic at the booth strong, many people are also wanting to know more about the NCS desktop virtualization portfolio. They are learning that the NCS designed and patented zero client end points lead the industry in manageability, reduced cost of ownership and improved security.

NexServ XRG Series Supports Intel's Xeon E5-2600 V4 Series

Posted by Mihir Bhavsar on Apr 13, 2016 3:57:17 PM

NCS NexServ XRG series now supports Intel’s latest Xeon E5-2600 V4 series processors, formerly known as Broadwell-EP. The Broadwell architecture is based on 14nm process rather than Haswell’s 22nm process, which improves power consumption and performance, and as a result Broadwell-EP processors scale up to 22 Broadwell cores into the same package and power envelope. Broadwell-EP is socket compatible with Haswell-EP, so Broadwell Processors will be drop in replacement for the same XRG series servers which support Haswell-EP processors.

NCS Engineering Services works with many leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Systems Integrators (SIs), to design and build servers and appliances that serve as robust platforms for their end customers. We also work with smaller software companies, in segments such as cyber security, high frequency trading, and IoT, who are trying to grow and scale their products. Often they are struggling with hardware issues that are holding them back.

In talking to customers, we find that each company comes to us with unique needs. Often there is not an overriding issue to address, but several smaller ones that aggregate, leading to poor or unexpected outcomes.
